Careers At Aspen Grove Family Therapy

At Aspen Grove, our hiring is driven by a vision: to build a team that mirrors the strength, connection, and resilience symbolized by an aspen grove; therapists who not only understand relationships but transform lives through them.

Though we may not always have active postings, we welcome interest from passionate clinicians and support staff. To apply, submit a resume, cover letter, and three professional references via one of our forms below; expect a response within 72 hours.

What to Expect

We conduct a thoughtful interview process to ensure candidates align with our collaborative, systemic approach and interpersonal culture, making sure new teammates mesh well with both our values and current staff.

All clinical team members are expected to be collaborative and team-based. Clinicians receive ongoing training, supervision (AAMFT-supervised for associates), and support for professional development within a whole-family therapy framework.

Who We're Looking For

We seek warm, skilled, relational therapists who are:

  • Systemic & family-focused, ready to apply evidence-based models within broader relational contexts.

  • Committed to growth, open to ongoing training, supervision, and contributing to a collaborative environment.

  • Culturally responsive, especially those offering support to our diverse communities (Spanish fluency is a plus).

  • Client-centered, with a genuine passion for helping individuals, couples, and families heal and grow together.

Why Work For Us?

At Aspen Grove Family Therapy, we believe that great clinicians deserve a workplace that truly supports them, both personally and professionally. Our team culture is grounded in respect, compassion, and collaboration, and we’ve designed a compensation model that reflects those values. Unlike traditional clinics with rigid salary structures, our unique pay system allows you to choose what works best for your needs. As you grow, your compensation grows too. We prioritize self-care, autonomy, and fairness, so you feel empowered and appreciated. If you're looking for a career home where your contributions are truly valued, we invite you to explore Aspen Grove.

Special Considerations for Prospective Team Members

Quality, evidence-based care is our number one priority. To ensure this,  all new clinical hires, including fully licensed clinicians, are expected to demonstrate their commitment to maintain this high standard by providing evidence of training and supervision to engage in either couple therapy or play therapy. This commitment goes beyond licensure and includes using research-supported models and engaging in ongoing training, supervision, consultation, and continuing education.

Before play therapy or couple therapy cases can be assigned to new hires, they must meet one of the following criteria:

Couple Therapy

  • Have completed certification and training  in an evidence-based couple therapy protocol. If certified, they must provide evidence of certification to Dr. Whitehead before a couple can be scheduled on their caseload.

OR

  • Have been supervised, or are under current supervision by an AAMFT Approved Supervisor (or Candidate), with at least 10 observed couple therapy sessions by the AAMFT Approved Supervisor (or Candidate). If this criteria is met, evidence must be provided via an email to Dr. Whitehead from the supervisor before a couple can be scheduled on their caseload.

OR

  • Have been supervised, or willing to be supervised by Dr. Whitehead or Kami Roach, and agree to video recorded supervision of ALL couple therapy sessions.

Play Therapy

  • Have completed certification and training  in an evidence-based play therapy protocol. If certified, they must provide evidence of certification to Dr. Whitehead before a play therapy case can be scheduled on their caseload.

OR

  • Have been supervised, or are under current supervision by an RPT-S, with at least 10 observed play therapy sessions by the RPT-S. If this criteria is met, evidence must be provided via an email to Dr. Whitehead from the supervisor before a play therapy case can be scheduled on their caseload.

OR

  • Have been supervised, or willing to be supervised by Dr. Whitehead or Stefanie Gilbert, and agree to video recorded supervision of ALL play therapy sessions.

These requirements ensures that every client receives care that is both ethically sound and clinically effective, and reflects our clinic-wide commitment to excellence, accountability, and the highest quality of therapeutic service.
